Randa

My friend Randa and I got to shoot a wedding this past weekend. It was good practice for the both of us as one of us is aspring to be a Professional Photographer someday (hint: not me), and the other just enjoys taking shots. It was for family and it was up at Beaver Ski Resort. As I was going through and editing some, I found my absolute favorite..."Why?" you ask, why because I caught my second shooter Randa in the shot!!! I absolutely love the look on her face....Bwahahahahahahaha! Caught you Randa~Loo!! And thank you sooooo much for shooting this wedding with me...I couldn't have done it without you!!!!<

the Father's Day Card that Never Was

I had a great idea on Father's Day to take some shots of the kids and make a great picture/video card for Aaron....little did I know, Baby Henry had other plans...besides the fact that he doesn't really sit up on his own, he was also super grouchy from what had already been a long week!!

I decided to create a slideshow from the shots taken on that day only because it really captured how my day without Papa around went, AND they were just too hilarious NOT to post.....needless to say, the shots never did become a Father's Day Card...oh, and note that Bubba really pulled some of the goofiest faces!!

Ever Wonder...

What a 3-year old would look like if he accidentally picked up his brother's pants because he thought it was his pair of shorts that he had been wearing that day?....Well, wonder no more ~ I present to you, the Amazing Bubba, who fit his brother's 3-6 month old pair o' pants..that's right, 3 - 6 MONTHS.
He had been complaining about a "sore bumbum" so I took him to the bathroom to help him figure out what was going on. As I was helping him I noticed his "shorts" were a bit TIGHT in the "bumbum" (as you can see in the picture below):
Now let me remind you all, these are also NOT a pair of shorts, they are a pair of pants for a little baby......man I couldn't stop laughing..I was laughing so hard that I'm surprised I even had the presence of mind to take pictures for this "Oh-So-Special-I'm-Using-It-To-Blackmail-Bubba-Someday" shots!! Sorry Bubb...
Here are the pair of shorts he had on originally...I can see how he mixed the two up..it's those darn pockets..oh and maybe the fact that both are khaki!!

Now that's MUCH better...and he also stopped complaining about his sore bumbum...good times..gooood times!!

I hope my two boys are able to become the kind of Papa that Aaron's been to them. He is absolutely wonderful....just ask his daughter Hannah (I secretly call her Papa's Girl).

Happy Belated Father's Day to an Amazing, Hard-Working, Stunningly Handsome(if he doesn't kill me for the pics, he'll kill me for saying that..hehe) Papa!!

Happy Father's Day Dad!

I searched and searched and searched for a pic of my Dad and this was all I could find...I was pretty sad, but at least I found one right :) Anyhoo, with all my searching, this posting comes a day late.....but as they always say, better late than never right? (A posting for Papa Aaron is on it's way...you guys should see all the fun pics I found for that post...hehehe...he would kill me if he ever read my blogs...who knows, maybe one day he will...you'll all know, when you hear that I've been killed...bwahahahahaha!)
For all the father's Blessings, silly jokes, pancakes, navajo fried bread, being my "thing" to bring to show & tell, coming to my volleyball games even if I was the benchwarmer, counseling me when I needed it most, and telling me not to cry as we danced our Daddy Daughter dance at my wedding, I love you Dad!!! But I love you most of all for being such a loving Tutu Man ~ my keiki love you to pieces and praying for you every night has made them feel even closer to you! Here's to you Dad, and to many more Happy Father's Days!!!!

Reflection

Got tagged about two weeks ago...or at least that's when I noticed I had been tagged. It's given me a chance to reflect a bit...so as we come to the close of May, here is my attempt at responding to 'chicagosapps' Tag...

3 Joys
1. Hannah
2. Austin
3. Henry

I know, that's the easy way out and I fail to mention my hubby so here's the real 3..

1. My husband & kids
2. My Awesome family at home in Hawaii & the Awesome In-Laws here in UT
3. all the friends I've met thus far in my life

3 Fears
All of my fears have to do with dying so bear with me...

1. Dying at an early age (yes, I consider myself to still be at an "early age" in my life..hehehe)
2. Losing one my children
3. My husband passing on before I do (I'm pretty much hopeless without him..I mean I'd have food to eat and that, but bills wouldn't get paid, and all o' that other important stuff...sad eh.)

3 Goals
1. To lose at least 5lbs. this year...I have to make it realistic or it just won't happen..losing 5lbs. will still have me in the obese range in accordance to my BMI, but hey, at least I will have lost 5lbs. right?
2. Dance a fast hip shaking Tahitian number....at least before my hips STOP shaking, which should be right about the age of 40 for me..I can already feel it in my hipbones :)
3. Raise children who contribute to society in a positive way.

Of course, I don't have them listed in the order I want to accomplish these goals; they are listed in the order that I've "thought" them up.

3 Current Obsessions
1. Cooking
2. Eating
3. Sleeping

This section is actually listed in the order I obsess in...I'm not a great cook but I DO love watching Food Network and trying new things. I also love EATING those things, and then when I'm done, I love to sleep...when I can. With a 4 month old I've had a few lucky days where I've had longer than a 4 hour stretch.

3 Random/Surprising Facts About myself
1. Aaron and I met in Las Vegas....we were co-workers...and roommates...Random & Surprising right?
2. I took piano lessons all through my Junior High and High School years...note I said "I took lessons" and not, "I play the piano"...you will never hear me play because surprsingly enough, I hated practicing! Also, my double-jointed pinky would get stuck in a wierd position when I played for too long.
3. I secretly want to be a L&D nurse when I grow up....and when my brain gets the "holding capacity" it needs to be able to learn/memorize all the stuff I need to, maybe, just maybe, I'll go and do that!

I now Tag, anyone who feels they need to Reflect a Bit!....
